Hey there! I'm relocating to Brisbane from Northern NSW for work, and am looking for a long-term place to call home. I'm originally from California, have been in Aus for nearly 6 years, and am currently studying carpentry as part of my pathway towards residency. I have been living in a wonderful, harmonious share house in the Northern Rivers for the last year and a half, and working for myself running an eco-friendly cleaning business. I am now transitioning to new employment with a building company in Brisbane as part of my studies and visa requirements. I'll be at this job for at least a few years, so I'm really wanting to put roots down for a good long while. I see home as a safe and comfortable place where I can rest and relax. Cleanliness and care for shared spaces is a big priority for me, and I hope to find housemates who are proactive in this regard; keeping the space beautiful because we all want to live in a nice place, rather than from a sense of obligation. Eco-consciousness in terms of resource use, cleaning products and waste are also very important to me. I value time to myself and respect others individual lives/time/space, but am also quite social and love to spend time with others. I hope to live with people that I connect with, share an occasional chat or meal with and generally feel that there is familiarity within the home. I think knowing one another fosters inherent respect, allows for peaceful communication and ultimately just makes for a nice communal vibe. :) I keep quite busy with work and school, and in my free time I enjoy indoor/outdoor climbing, yoga, hiking, cooking and spending time with friends.
