My name is Jay (They/Them) and I moved to Adelaide from Aotearoa New Zealand in August of last year. Since moving, I have been staying with my family while saving for and healing from gender-affirming top surgery. Now that this goal is complete, I am so ready to move out again and start building up my new life here in Adelaide.
My previous living situation in Aotearoa was shared with two couples, so there were 5 of us altogether. It was a beautiful household with a great sense of community, and that is something that I would love to find again. I don't know many people in this city yet, so I would love to find a share house with like minded people whom I can get to know and build a connection with, whilst also being able to have our own space comfortably.
I am a clean and relatively quiet person with a lot of respect for shared spaces. I love art and being in creative spaces, and am vegan but don't mind living with non vegans. One of the things I miss most about my old place was being able to host dinners and movie nights, so I would love to have a space to do this again and to be able to share these moments with my future housemates.
Currently I am working as a video editor from home while looking for new employment opportunities.
My current budget is $250 Incl bills.
