Hi there, I'm Cecilia, 26. I spent the past 3 years in Perth working FIFO and I've just moved to the Gold Coast for at least 2 years to do a carpentry course. It runs 2 days a week for 6 weeks, then 2 weeks off. I'm looking for part-time work (up to 24h/week during term) and will also pick up shutdown work during my breaks if I can. I'm currently in a hostel so I'm keen to settle somewhere stable. I'm clean, respectful and reliable with rent.

I'm in no rush. I'd rather find a place that feels like home, where we share more than a house, with people around my age and on a similar wavelength. Ideally I'm looking for a spacious room in a home close to the beach or with a pool if not. A bath would be amazing as well. I'd also like a garden and a covered space for my bike and surfboard.

I moved here for the surf scene. I'm still a beginner but I fell in love with it in Bali and can't wait to improve now that I live by the coast. I like an active, organised routine, cooking with music on, and reading at the beach or in bed. I'm happy to go out or to a festival now and then, but I'm easy to live with and respect shared space. If there's a garden, I'd love to grow some tomatoes (and share the harvest!).
