Hi there future housemate(s),

the time has come and I'm looking for a new place I can call home. I'm not in a rush, I'd like to take the time to find people who are a good match with me and great to live with. I believe that people you live with shape your overall joy of life too.

About me:

I’m Peter, 35yo male, originally from Czech Republic, but have been living in the country for the past 3.5 years. I’m here on work/student visa.

I came to OZ in 2023. Spent some time up North in Cairns and then moved to Brisbane. After two years in Brissy I moved to GC. For the past year I've been living in Ashmore. I've recently been granted a new visa for the next 3 years and I felt like it's time to fresh things up and move more South to escape the busy central of GC. More nature the better. I'm also looking for the people who are keen to do things together occasionally, but at the same time respect each other's privacy and down time. I've been living with housemates who don't engage together and I don't want that again.

My original background is (marine) biology and more recently photography. I have worked past 4 years (on and off) as a professional scuba diver (dive guide in Portugal, Spain, Canada, Australia) and commercial diver (Aus). I've also worked in hospitality and event catering. Five months ago I quit my commercial diving job and became a support worker. I recently commenced my studies in the same field - Individual support. Support work is my primary job, but I also work in events occasionally.

Except diving (or any other Ocean activities), my big passion is music (playing and original composition). I mainly play guitar, but also like to play some other instruments (bass, drums, piano, didgeridoo, indian flute,…). I’m hoping to find a place with like minded people who enjoy music and don’t mind me playing guitar/instruments in the house. Even better if they play too, so we can jam haha (not a requirement tho). Most recently I've been exploring other forms of visual arts from Photography to sketching/drawing. I’m outdoorsy (like hiking, camping, surfing, sailing, kayaking, freediving...), love sports (running, gym, yoga, martial arts), very open minded, easy going and respectful. I enjoy art, galleries, live gigs, books, deep talks, spirituality, hanging out with friends, etc. I’m vegetarian and environmentally conscious.

I’d be looking for a long term stay - one year and longer, if place and people are a good fit.

I both work and study, and I'm also busy with my hobbies and outdoor activities. But also love to hang out with friends and housemates. I have a car so I’m flexible on locations.

Would love to share a house with someone like-minded, open minded and conscious people. Extra bonus if you're a musician or artist (let's jam!). Good vibes, good laughs.

Also note, I have to give at least 2 weeks notice (ideally 3 weeks) at my place before I move out.
