Hello future flatmate,
My name is Daragh, I'm 24 and from Ireland. I will arrive in Melbourne on February 1st. I'm coming to Australia on a Working Holiday Visa, and I have a job secured working in a warehouse.
I intend to be in Melbourne long term, to build a life for myself in Australia. To get off to the best start possible, I'm looking for a room in a house sharing with other young people and preferably in a good location. I'm looking for a private room, I don't mind sharing a bathroom, and no more than $350 dollars a week, preferably with a two-weeks rent or less bond.
I'm a very easy-going person, and a considerate flatmate. I am tidy, respectful of shared spaces and the privacy of others, and always clean up after myself. Friendship is welcome, never forced. I am very warm, friendly and open minded.
My approach to my flatmates is always this: we can talk as much or as little as we're both comfortable with, but as long as everyone communicates when they have an issue, I'm sure everything will be great.
Some things about me - I'm a big traveller; I absolutely love seeing new places and experiencing different cultures.
I'm looking to get myself set-up in Melbourne and work full-on for a while to save up money for doing some travelling around Australia and Southeast Asia. I've been to 26 countries in Europe and North America, so I'm really excited to come to and explore the other side of the world. But all my focus for the next 6-9 months is on building a life for myself in Melbourne and working as much as I can.
I'm a huge rugby union fan, and I'm looking forward to getting into rugby league and AFL.
I love music of all genres, and I really enjoy going to techno gigs.
I like seeing films in the cinema, when I can afford it.
I like playing board games, and drinking games.
I love a bit of hiking and camping every now and then.
I'm a big dog-lover, and I don't mind if the house has any pets of any kind.
I promise I'm an ideal flatmate, and I really hope to hear from you soon!
