Heya!
My name is Belinda, I’m 28, originally from Melbourne, and currently working full-time as a freelancer in the film industry. I’m looking for long-term accommodation in Melbourne and currently live in St Kilda West in a sharehouse, but the owners are unfortunately moving back into the property in 3 weeks (need to be out before 2nd March, but can move out pretty much straight away).
I’m looking to live north of Melbourne, as I generally love the stronger sense of community and the abundance of things to do.
A bit about me:
* I work in the film industry, currently as a producer’s assistant on the action feature film Empire. My last role was a director’s assistant on the horror feature Insidious 6. When I’m on a job, I generally work pretty long hours (at least 10.5 hours), and the job lasts 3-4 months at a time. While working, I’m pretty low-impact during the weekdays and tend to keep a steady routine, so I don’t burn out. That looks like exercising, going to work, coming back and maybe socialising occasionally (whether that’s dinner with a friend, or a movie with housemates). On the weekends, I’m definitely more social.
* Outside of work, I love being active, but also enjoy lounging on a couch and watching films. I cycle to commute (and have a car if it’s further away), I boulder, surf (when I have a day free as it’s quite a commute down the coast), watching theatre, gardening, camping, hiking, bikepacking, op shopping, reading, painting (only bob ross…. lol), skateboarding (trying to atleast… it’s hilariously pathetic…), and of course watching films. I enjoy a glass of red wine and a good chat, and I love being social, but I’m also an introvert at heart and value quiet recharge time. Am always keen for a group movie night - especially if popcorn and Maltesers are involved.
* I’m bubbly, friendly, and easy to live with, respectful of personal space, and don’t really consider myself a ’super serious’ person. I love laughing and feel I am witty and have decent comedic timing (I hate selling myself….)
* I’m very tidy and considerate in shared spaces. Will always clean up after myself straight away, and I am not critical of others. I’m happy to follow whatever house routines already exist.
* I really value a calm, friendly home where everyone feels comfortable and gets along. I value friendships and meaningful chats, but I know there’s a time and place for them, hopefully over a glass of red 🙂
*Very queer friendly and just kind and respectful to everyone.
Thanks so much for reading. I would love to chat and see if we’re a good fit! 🙂 Happy to meet in person if you're still looking for someone and feel comfortable doing so.
Thanks again 🙂
Belinda
