Both working full time and able to pay bond asap. Jasmine is a hairdresser so cheap/free cuts! I work in hospo so will be bringing left over food home. Both sociable but not loud/party people. Love a good wine now and then
Hey! I'm currently looking into moving to Melbourne by the end of next week (11th March move-in date). A bit about me, my name is Besiat, 29yo from Sydney. I've been working as an RN for the last five years, recently I finished masters in international public health and was offered a job in Melbourne. Very excited for what's ahead. I'm easy going, down to earth, I like to keep the space clean, I enjoy good conversations and respect others space when needed. I'm considerate of others and expect that people are the same way towards me. I believe in open communication and honesty. I'm looking for a place in area's I listed. I will be free for inspection from 1st of March to 4th of March so if you happen to have place free available in that time, I will like to see it. Inbox me! :) xx
Hi, I'm Toni, and I'm looking for a house that's a home, not just a room. I'm environmentally focused and socially progressive, wanting to create a positive and collaborative household that values sustainability (recycling, composting, green power, waste minimisation) and sociability. Full-time employed, non-smoker and single, I enjoy being outdoorsy (hiking, rock climbing, gardening) but am also seriously nerdy (Like, masters degree in environmental governance level nerdy). I like sharing wine/coffee and conversation, cooking, and hugs. I don't like lots of TV, house parties or recreational drug use. I love to laugh and have a sense of humour that ranges from dark to sick and through to dad (very punny). Dog-compatible but sadly allergic to cats. I'm clean and tidy, good with money and occasionally homesick for Tasmania but starting to settle in to this whole Melbourne deal. If you like the sound of me and have a room free, or would consider teaming up to find a place, drop me a line.
Hey I'm Amy, When I asked my friend what to write in this bio she said i was fun. Although it's true it's probs not the most constructive thing to say. I consider myself to be a normal human being: friendly, easy going, considerate and clean. Looking for a social household, respects others but also doesn't mind a chat or a cheeky bev. I work full time in HR, but outside of workla I like to go to gigs/festivals, drinks with friends, travel and attempt to keep active at the same time. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to send me a message :)
Hi! I'm from England originally but have been in Melbourne for over 6 years now and have finally got my citizenship lat year. I originally came over on a working holiday but then got sponsorship through my work as a software developer and kind of found myself building a good friendship base here and got used to the lifestyle and now I can't leave! I'm into music and make a bit of of it myself. I was in a soul band for two or three years and ended up recording an EP written by myself and my good friend Sarah, which I also recorded and produced on my laptop. That was more work than I thought I can tell you! I like to have some sort of music project on the go although it's taken a little bit of a back burner in the last year as I've been moving jobs and moved house. I'm starting to think about just getting back to playing some open mic style gigs. I'm currently living with a couple of friends in Coburg, but they are about to take a year or more out to go travelling around Australia so I'm trying to find somewhere new to call home. I love to meet new people of all kinds and consider myself to be fairly left-leaning in my views on the world. I studied Philosophy & AI at University, which admittedly was a while ago now but still find myself pondering... well, everything. I like going out for a few drinks from time to time but can't handle my beer like I used to. I'm currently working on a project developing a mobile application which i'm really enjoying!
Who wants to live with me? Looking for a shareroom / flat / squad / garden / anything to call home :) I've recently arrived in Melbourne and I noticed I really love it here. After living on the road, in a van and in a hammock for a while I decided I want to stick around and settle down instead of being some kind of homeless (which is really cheap tho, can definitely recommend it). No kiddin', it just feels like it's time to find a place to call home again and experience the daily life in Melbourne. At the moment I am working 2 days in the week but I'm planning to work as much as possible in the next few months. I'm a 28 year old guy from Amsterdam and I would describe myself as the 'just trying to be happy kinda guy'. After 8 years of working full time at the office as young professional in Telecommunications and IT, I decided to quit my job and start traveling the world. This because I realized my current life situation was simply not going to make me happy in the end. I'm a really chilled out and social guy. Stress and worries doesnt exist in my life, life is just perfect as it is. I love having a beer while talking and philosophize about life and the beautiful world we are living in. One of my biggest hobbies is socializing with people from all over the world. I'm reliable, friendly, respectful, open-minded, considerate and trustworthy. I'm a vegetarian and a smoker (but can smoke outside), I love beer & 420 and I am a music lover in general, I think genres doesnt really matter; when it's good, it's good! :) I also would love to learn how to play any instrument, so living with a musician would be totally awesome. Other things I love and appreciate: food & cooking, (extreme-) sports, nature/camping/hiking, sustainable living, coffee, movies, spirituallity and the smell of washing powder. Ideally I'm seeking for a chilled out, homely and cosy plase to call home in area's like Fitzroy, Carlton, Brunswick, Northcote, Richmond, Collingwood, St. Kilda, Windsor, South Yarra or surrounding area's. A garden with some fruits of vegetables would be amazing, cause I really want to improve my skills in growing my own food. BUT, I'm really flexible so if you have a room somewhere else, please let me know as well! At the moment I don't have a place to live so I would rather move in yesterday then tomorrow :) So if you have a place available don't hesitate to contact me so we can meet up for a chat and to get to know each other. Hope to hear something from you soon! Peace & blessings <3
Hey there, Me (I have a friendly cat) and my mate, both 29, are looking for 2 other people interested in inspecting houses with the goal of going to inspections and hopefully landing and moving into a place we like. Vego/vegans preferred but we want to keep our options open. We're both down to earth and are pretty chill to live with and talk to. We respect people's things and their personal space. We both work. If you're interested shoot us a message and we can meet up for a beer/coffee/whatever you like and take it from there. LGBT+ friendly
I just moved to Melbourne from Hong Kong. Looking for female(s) to share a house. I will be here for at least 1 year. I am easy going and flexible. I am clean , prefer private bathroom and a house to an apartment. :)
- Lived in share houses for four years - Looking for a 3 - 6 month stay - Work full time at a gym on reception/sales - Ready to move immediately I'm an active and social person, I'm respectful of your space and I keep a tidy house. I'm out of the house a lot at work, the gym, and visiting friends. Otherwise, you'll find me reading, watching TV, napping, cooking, or lying in the sun somewhere. I mostly like to do my own thing, but also love to hang out and chat every now and then over a beverage. I have a cat called Odin who is 1 year old, very well behaved and litter trained to a tee. He's a pretty independent cat so he pretty much bases himself in my room and keeps himself entertained I've got a car which I'm happy to have parked either off or on street If you've got any questions, just ask! :D
The house is a typical old Brunswick house, maybe not the prettiest thing in the world but plenty of space and some wacked out design choices. We have a backyard which has veggie garden aspirations, but is currently slightly messy. There's a couch out the back too for smokers and plenty of storage space in the garage. Most of our socialising happens around the lounge and kitchen, and sometimes gaming happens there too. The house is on the 55 tram line with shops close and about a 15 minute walk to Sydney road. The room on offer is medium sized and can fit a queen size bed and a desk and shelves. It's available straight away but we know it sometimes takes a little while to get organised so for March we'd just do $120 a week for however many weeks the person is in there for. After that it's $460 a month and bond is also $460. Bills are split between all the housemates and average out to about $70 a month including internet. We'll be having people round next week in the evenings to have a look at the space and see if we all get along with each other. If you're interested send us an email with a little bit about yourself and we'll get back to you to try and work out a good time to come check it out.
I recently moved to Melbourne, I am an international student doing my Masters from the Melbourne University. I am 21 and fairly clean, I can cook and I'm indian. I am very amicable and I'm looking for a relaxed positive environment, away from home. I make terribly jokes that are funny and can give a shoulder to cry on if needed. I love listening to stories and telling them, chilled nights with friends, some music and wine. I adore pets, although I don't own one, yet. I am looking for a stress free environment, because for me home is a place where I can relax to recharge my battery. I like to pick up new hobbies and spend time learning. I am open to new adventures and exploring the city. Hoping to find a flatmate whim whom I could share my weird obsessions. Thanks xx.
Sean and I are from England. We are in Australia on a 1 yr holiday working/visa and will be spending 6 months, at least, working/living in Melbourne. Sean is a barista and I am a baker 👨🏻👩🏾🍳☕️🍰🍩 We're ideally looking for a house/flat share in North Melbourne/ Brunswick/ Brunswick East or similar sort of areas. Our budget is $300-400 pw and we're looking to move in the next couple of weeks (early March). We are an easy going couple and our main interests include; food, music, cartoons, cake (Karishma), video games (Sean) and more food. We like our home to be a place to chill (not a party house) and to socialise over a beer or three with our pals at pubs 🍻 We respect our flatmates space and are clean/tidy.
Hello there folks, I'm Denny - a fairly mature-minded, amiable creature - and I'm looking at sharing in a friendly, warm and also relatively mature-minded household. I work between two jobs during the week - one at a media company, and another at a charity organisation, and I fit in a bit of study as well in my spare time. Love the outdoors and green spaces, the sun, good wholesome food, gardening and a decent laugh on a regular basis. I don't throw my weight / ego around (much!) in communal situations, so I wouldn't classify myself as the nightmare housemate by any means...
Hello fellow housemates. I'm a happy, positive and easy going sort, I enjoy living a healthy lifestyle, I LOVE cooking with fresh produce and exercising whenever I get the chance. I'm working full-time in childcare and studying my Diploma of Early childhood by distance, so during the week I'm quite busy and will most likely spend time on my computer studying after work (although I am easily distracted by netflicks or an interesting conversation). I am vegan but do not care what other people eat, I'm a strong believer in doing what is right for you and respecting everyone's views. On the weekends I try not to take life too seriously, Im quite social when time allows and like to spend time with friends, enjoy watching live music which usually accompanies a good dance, I like thrift shopping and markets, love the outdoors (would bring with me an ever expanding collection of small potted succulents, bound to make anyone smile) and I'm a sun child so any chance I get to warm my soul in the sun I will take! In terms of living I am very clean and would benefit housing with similar (open) minded/mature people who respect each other's privacy but all get along well as a family unit and are generally happy sorts (:
Hello future Roommates! We are a French/Scottish Couple in our late 20's on our second working holiday visa. We've already spent our first year travelling and working across Australia. We were previously in Brunswick which we loved but the lease ended as our housemates went travelling. Ideally we'd like to stay in this area but we're open to change! Little about us... My name is Gini 27 years old and originally from Glasgow, Scotland. I'm currently working as an Office Temp covering Receptions and General Admin work at different companies across Melbourne, I work 5 days a week 9-5. Ludo is 28 years old and from Paris, France. He's is currently working as a sales assistant in a bike store, Ludo is a keen cyclist, triathlete sports in general oh and cheese! We are an easy going, open minded couple who like to socialise have a chat about life, travel, etc. but we're not too in your face either, respectful of space and the need for some downtime! Like to lead a healthy lifestyle, keep fit, eat clean (not opposed to the odd treat now and then). Love to cook, try new recipes and happy to share meals and a bottle of wine! Both of us are clean and tidy, I like to keep things organised. We're looking to call a place home not just a place to live. Happy to share with open minded, respectful people from any nationality. I know our length of stay is short because of our travel plans but if you like the sound of us and think we'd suit your home, please don't hesitate to drop us a message! Merci :)
hey I'm Bonnie, 23 year old engineering student at unimelb. I like running, hiking, cycling and knitting. I enjoy the occasional drink or two. I'm a social smoker. I'm a vegetarian, mostly vegan but don't care too much about what others eat. I like to keep things clean and tidy. I don't have any pets but love animals.
From the south eastern suburbs of melbourne. Work full time in moonee ponds. Friendly, reliable, experienced in share housing, can set up the house with free foxtel due to work perk! I do come with one house trained but mostly outdoor cat named Wednesday. Thoroughly enjoy cooking, drinks on the weekend and a good book.
20 years young, recently moved here from Adelaide, studying @ Melb Uni & working Transport Bar in Federation Square! Loving Melbourne's vibes :) **Recently remade my Facebook account, which might explain why it's so bland!** Easygoing, friendly, amicable, responsible, respectful, have lived in a share house before in Adelaide (hometown) and currently looking for a place just outside the city for convenience & possibly to share with some similar, fun people! Play soccer, love soccer & sport, studying a sport development diploma right now! Looking to move ASAP! :) Preferably to a northern/north western suburb! 6 month minimum for sure! <3
Clean, low maintenance, sane. British chemistry student at the university of Melbourne.
I have just moved to Melbourne from the US, and have spent the past few months living in Taipei. I plan to spend the next year (at least) in Melbourne and I am super excited to get settled. I am very easy going and respectful of shared space. Within the past 5 years, I have lived in New York City, Shanghai, Washington DC, London, and Taipei and I am very excited to establish a new, more permanent life in Melbourne. I consider myself to be very adaptable and find calmness and comfort in exploring unknown spaces and places. I am vegetarian and queer.
Hi I'm Matilda 😊 I'm currently a first year nursing student at the Australian Catholic university. I'm super friendly clean and tidy. I'm looking for a place closer to uni because travelling an hour and a half (one way) to uni everyday just isn't viable .. I'm super easy going and like to keep keep to myself at times but I also enjoy socialising .. I love to read and stay active (think running, yoga, Pilates)
Hello all! We have a room available in our humble abode for short term stay! The room is available from 6th of July to the 11th of September(dates can be flexible) whilst I go home for two months. This a quaint 2 bedroom 1 bathroom unit in Brunswick West. There's the 508 bus 350m away and the 55 tram 600m away with all the delights of Brunswick just around the river-bend. You're also only 30 minutes away from the CBD depending on transportation mode, traffic and weather conditions. The room will be fully furnished and the rent is $200+ bills and you'll be staying with my housemate - a rather gregarious, hilarious student of counselling. Holler at us with more questions about the room and house rules and just how gregarious my housemate is(Darya Lee).
Hi I'm Kiaya, I'm 22 years old, and work part time at spotlight, and have my own textiles label on the side when i create my own products to sell at markets and online. I have lived in share houses since I was 18, so i know the boundaries of living with other people. I believe in respecting the house through cleaning up after yourself, and paying rent/bills on time. I love having a cold bev at the end of the day or watching a film / addictive TV show. I am creative, but not messy, busy and not a home body, and love a good chat. Contact me if you're interested!
Hello! I am 19 years old and looking to move out of home, i'm tidy and pretty quiet but I play guitar, I like art and anything creative, originally from WA now living permanently in Victoria, I love to cook and play music and am always up for pretty much anything, i'm easy going and think it's just important to be happy.
Hey Flatmate-ers! My name is Diana, 22 years young and looking for a new home! I have just returned from a two month holiday in Asia and am looking for a new place to call home! Unfortuantely, I did not complete enough credit points to graduate last year, so I'm still at uni finishing off one subject for this semester :(. BUT after that I will be a qualified primary teacher. I am currently a casual as after school care worker for a company called Extend. I plan to obtain a full time job as either a receptionist or back into retail over the next couple of weeks! I have been out of home for about four to almost five years now so I understand what it is like to live with other people! By that I mean, I get what its like to live with 11 other people in a shared place to just one other person. I am clean and a very easy going person. I am always down for a chat so ideally I would like to be friends with my housemate/s rather than another person renting the room. A little about my hobbies and interests: I love to keep fit, so occasionally will go for walks, the gym (really I'm only there for boxing classes), going out and hanging out with my girls and enjoy occasional shopping sprees. I don't mind having a bev or two although I am the weakest drinker in the world. If you would like to find out more about me, I would love to hear from my future housies soon!
Hey hey! I'm looking for a place around inner Melbourne to live whilst I'm studying and working. I'm doing second year arts at Melb Uni and having a blast! I also work in a creperie, so I'm always up to my ears in nutella and coffee (definitely can't complain though). Outside of work I like catching up with friends over drinks and going out to gigs or events. But I ain't no wild party animal and I'm just as happy to kick back with a good book, some music, or a bingeable TV show. I'd love to live with open friendly people and I'm always down for a chat and a laugh! That being said, I'm very open-minded and respectful of others and I do my best to keep tidy. That's all from me, but feel free to send me a message because I'd love to hear from you :)
Canberra raised now a Melbourne northsider looking for an unfurnished room in the neighbourhood when my Carlton North lease is up. Work a 9to5 in sales by day and study post grad in procurement part time. In my spare time love making music or playing around on my dj set. Great to join a house that's up for hang outs, gigs or the occasional beers at home. I'm easy going, social and considerate of space and privacy. Been living in sharehouses for a while, so I know to pay bills on time and keep tidy. Anything else you'd like to find out? feel free to ask!
Shelley and I are two friends originally from Byron Bay in the Northern Rivers of NSW. We both work full time in hospitality, I am a cocktail bartender and Shelley is a cook. We have known each other for years, we met through our mutual interest in viking history and re-enactment and we often fire twirl and perform together! I am also interested in carpentry and set design, I'm currently working on refurbishing my own 10m sailing yacht and Shelley is a silversmith. We are looking for a sharehouse where we can have some space to stretch out, with a backyard and shed/garage to store tools and do some work. We're both environmentally and sustainably focussed, Shelley is vegetarian and I centre my diet around sustainability. We both enjoy having friends over for nice dinners and drinks (I love practicing my job at home) and I often host board game/movie nights coupled with refreshing cocktails!
Hi all! So I'm 23, from Israel just moved to Melbourne on a working holiday visa. I spent the last five months traveling around Asia (India-China-Vietnam-Cambodia) Looking to settle down here for a few months to save up a bit. Working in hospitality. I enjoy cooking - not an amazing cook but I do love exploring and learning new things - and planning to do lots of it seeing how in the past five months I was eating out. I love music especially indie and folk and enjoy just chilling with others trading new songs and artists. I'd like to share a house with flatmates that occasionally get together for a house meal or a beer at the end of the day.
Im a relaxed guy who enjoys pretty much everything whether it be cars, sports, comic books and video games. Studying at RMIT in my last year of my BSc(biotechnology). from Perth but moved around a lot when i was younger. Enjoy nothing more then sitting around with a few friends listening to music and having a drink.
I drink, joke, enjoy being active around the house and study a lot with some spare time in the middle. I play guitar a bit but am well trained at keeping others in mind. I also bring with me (if needed); a washing machine, full sized fridge, my own bed, potential furnishings and a $500 good guys voucher I recently received for my 21st birthday :)
