$350/week•19 year old woman
Hey, I’m Naia (or Nay), and I’m 19. I was born in Sydney but have lived in Launceston for most of my life. I’m a super creative person. I spend most of my spare time painting, drawing, reading, or writing. I’m a big music lover with a growing vinyl collection.
I’m planning to move to Hobart to do a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Teaching, with the goal of becoming an art teacher. I would like to start uni at the beginning of 2026 so hoping to move before January next year. The course is a four-year double degree, so long-term stay is ideal.
Right now, I babysit part-time for two families. I love children and have become really close with the kids and feel like part of the family in both homes. Building those kinds of close connections means a lot to me.
I also work at the IGA. My boss has already talked about the possibility of transferring me to an IGA down in Hobart, so unemployment won’t be an issue (therefore paying rent won’t be a problem).
I’d say I’m friendly, grounded, and respectful of people’s space. I enjoy deep conversations and random laughs, but I’m also a very independent person who is happy doing my own thing. I’m clean and organised, and I always pull my weight around the house. I’m not into parties but I do love a calm, cozy vibe where everyone can be themselves.
I’m also a really passionate cook. I love making meals for others and cooking for a crowd. I enjoy bringing people together with food.
Spending time in nature is really important to me. I go for daily walks or hikes, and I’d love to find some good tracks around Hobart. I try to take care of my mental and physical health as best I can.
I also love animals. I have owned pretty much every kind of pet throughout my life and am happy to help with feeding and walks if you have any.
Mostly, I’m just looking for a chill, respectful place to live, with housemates who are kind and easy to get along with. If you think I’d be a good fit, feel free to reach out :)
