Hello my name is Ebony! I'm a 29 year old queer woman and I am looking for a chill, neurodivergent friendly home for me and my dog to live long term (preferably 2-3 years) before my current lease ends in June. Preference for the Inner Southside with a maximum budget of $450 per week (though I am willing to go slightly higher for 2 rooms). I WFH part time as a social media manager and also have various side hustles including my own small creative business. My ideal place would have 2 rooms available as I am very keen to have a studio/office space for my art. Due to my illness I am extremely heat sensitive and thus a built in aircon in the bedroom is essential!
I have a well behaved and quiet rescue Chihuahua X Fox Terrier called Tallulah, she is friendly with all kinds of other animals and big dogs (she has been tested with cats, guinea pigs and chickens and is friendly to all). She is shy with new humans but once she gets to know you is a very sweet and affectionate. She is fully toilet trained and crate trained.
As I have a chronic pain and fatigue condition I am looking for a place where I can focus on resting, keeping fit, recharging my social batteries and living a healthy lifestyle. I am an introverted and neurodivergent homebody who needs a lot of alone time to recharge and would like to live with folks with similar energy. However I have lived out of home since I was 17 so have a lot of share house experience and I strongly value open and honest communication (I can share references from former housemates on request). I am also friendly, approachable, open minded and happy to chat or hang out if I have the spoons for it.
I love reading, making art/crafting, yoga, meditation, film/TV, vegan cooking and podcasts. I have a medicinal marijuana prescription and occasionally use a dry herb vape but I don't drink alcohol or use nicotine at all (don't mind if others do). I'm vegan but very non judgemental and fine with living with meat eaters, I just use my own cookware.
Let me know if you have something that would suit, I can be a bit flexible with the move in date for the right place 🙂
