Heyo,
🏡 I’m looking for people interested in teaming up to find a share house! I'm currently searching for a new place and thought it might be easier (and more fun) to find a few like-minded people and house hunt together.
My main two requirements for a house is to be reasonably close to public transport and rent not being crazy expensive. Other than that, I'm pretty flexible on location, house style, and setup.
🏠 What kinda roommates I’m looking for:
A sociable but not party-house vibe. I'd love to live with people who enjoy hanging out occasionally while also respecting each other's space. I'm keen on sharing responsibility for the house, so ideally housemates would be happy to help keep communal areas clean and participate in a chore roster.
I'd prefer to live with women and queer people, though guys are absolutely welcome to reach out too. Most importantly, I'm looking for kind, respectful people. No homophobia, transphobia, sexism, misogyny, or other discriminatory behaviour, making sure everyone feels safe and comfortable is a top priority for me.
A bit about me: I'm Mickey, a trans guy in my late 20s working in film and TV as a sculptor, prop maker, and special effects artist. I've lived in share houses for years and have successfully helped start two share houses from scratch, so I'm familiar with the process of finding a place, organising applications, and getting a household up and running.
I also have a cat named Jinks. She's a sweet, lazy old lady who mostly spends her time sleeping in sunny spots, but she isn't friendly with other cats, so ideally I'd be looking for people without cats, but other pets are perfectly fine and welcomed.
If you're also looking for a place and would be interested in finding one together, send me a message and we can chat about what we're looking for and see if we'd be a good fit! 🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈
