Katie and Sam

Hi, my name is Katie. I am very clean and organised person who will always pick up after themself. I can be quiet and I respect quiet time hours to make sure everyone can sleep well. I can also be quite chatty with the right people. I am respectful of others privacy and don’t judge or care much about what other people are doing with their own lives unless it’s something positive they want to talk to me about. I have experience living in my own family home until aged 18, two different share houses, and more recently my partners family home. I’m a good cook and love to share and cook for everyone, so perk is you’ll probably get some home cooked food.
I started a month ago as an apprentice roof plumber in Brisbane and my partner (Sam) started at the same time a carpentry apprenticeship in the city. So we moved up for Maitland NSW and we are looking for a nice calm place to stay until we can get our own rental unit.

I like to watch TV, listen to music, do Lego and puzzles and board games, go out and do activities like the beach, escape rooms, treetops and anything new, and I love travelling. My plan is to work and save so then we can travel all over the world. I also am an aspiring script writer and film maker with two qualifications in Screen and Media.

My partner Sam is an Apprentice Carpenter. She likes knitting, reading, quiet time, board games, and going for walks, and also likes going out and experiencing fun things like I listed in my paragraph. She will continue doing pet sitting (at owners houses) and dog walking casually through MadPaws. Sam is also very cleanly and hygienic and respects others space. Sam is a very kind hearted giver, who loves caring for people and animals. She can be a quiet at the start of meeting people but will become more open and talkative with time. Sam is also very passionate about accepting people and fighting for and supporting other people of the LBTQA+ Community.

In housemates, we are looking for kind and thoughtful people who are like minded when it comes to general cleaning responsibilities, and respecting privacy. But also looking for people who can become friends with and even hang out and talk at home or go out. Also we have a 6 month old kitten called “Buckley” who is very calm and quiet and caring (he basically sleeps all day and has raised to be an Inside cat that occasionally we take outside on a leash to see the sun and take on car trips) who will be coming with us, so looking for a pet accepting household. Also we are open to team ups (actually would prefer) with someone or a couple to find and share a place. 😊
