Hi, I’m Sam — friendly, considerate and easy to live with. I work part-time in community services and also study, and I’m looking to move by the end of April 2026. I’m currently living in Weston, which I really love, so I’d ideally like to stay on this side of Canberra, although I’m also open to the right place in the Inner South or Inner North.

I value a calm, respectful home where people communicate well, do their bit and still enjoy their own space. I’m tidy, reliable, non-smoking and low-drama, with a solid rental history and a quiet, fairly low-key lifestyle.

Outside of work and study, I enjoy cooking, creative projects, reading, music, movies, gardening, markets and gallery visits. I also enjoy current affairs, personal growth, travel and relaxed socialising, and I’m very fond of animals. I have lots of indoor and outdoor plants I’d love to bring with me, so a plant-friendly home would be a big plus.

I usually prefer to prepare my own meals, though I’m always happy to share a meal now and then with someone who also enjoys cooking. I’m not a vegetarian, but I’m very happy to cook and enjoy vegetarian food, and I have a great collection of cookbooks.

I have a range of household items that could be useful in the right setup, including shelves, rugs, a table, four chairs, decorative pieces, a full set of kitchen utensils, gardening equipment, and my own washing machine and dryer. I also have lots of indoor and outdoor plants that I’d love to bring with me. Anything that isn’t needed can easily go into storage. Hopefully, you will have some storage space or a lock-up garage I can use.

I’m open to moving into an existing home or teaming up with the right person to set up a place together. I’m flexible and happy to adjust things so the arrangement feels comfortable and works well for everyone.

Ideally, I’m looking for a room with an ensuite or a granny flat/self-contained space, and I’m hoping to find somewhere I can stay for 12 months or longer. I’d love to find a home that feels settled, respectful and easy to call home.
