I am looking for an independent studio / 1 bedroom apartment/granny flat or independent room in a shared house close to public transport.

I am close to finalizing a 6 month work contract in Bathurst starting Oct 2026. I am currently in Sydney and will confirm securing the job in mid Sept.

I have lived in hostels, boarding houses, shared houses and in independent studios in Melbourne and Sydney since 2003. I am an Indian Australian but don't fit into any form of stereotyping. I am clean and respectful to fellow housemates or boarders and neighbours. When I am free I like to head outdoors (hikes / bushwalks beaches) and am quite active with various hiking groups in Sydney. I like playing badminton and checking out live music performances which I haven't indulged in for a while.

I am a female aged 48 and a smoker (nicotine rolled tobacco cigarettes) - outdoors Only, Hence need a balcony or outdoor space adjoining the room or a backyard where smoking is permitted i.e. housemates / owners / neighbours / agents have no qualms about it). I am not a chain smoker.
