About me

We are on the hunt for third person for applying to a house
A bit about us
Hey folks!
We’re Matty (34, they/he) and Ruchit (23, he/him) — two queer looking for a third person to team up with and apply for a new house together in the Northcote / Thornbury / Preston area.
A little about us:
Matty is an actor, writer, musician and drag performer working full-time in the arts and disability space. They’ve just wrapped up a Master of Theatre (Writing) at VCA and are always juggling a few creative projects — from touring with their band to developing new theatre work. Matty loves house dinners, board games, being maternal, and the occasional hike. They’re an extroverted introvert — love people time, but also value space and quiet when needed.
Ruchit is a Master’s student and casual tutor at the University of Melbourne, also working as a STEM educator at the Victorian Space Science Education Centre. He’s a friendly, nerdy meteorologist-in-training (basically a live weather radio ), loves hiking, talking science, and exploring nature. He’s respectful, clean, and values open communication and shared laughs.
We’re both queer, kind, creative, and easygoing — looking for a third housemate who shares similar values:
Queer or queer-friendly
Enjoys a mix of social connection and solo recharge time
Appreciates a home that feels like a little family — shared dinners (Very Important), occasional activities, cleaning roster, and mutual respect
Creative, community-minded, and considerate about noise and space
We’re aiming for a 3-bedroom place with good light, chill vibes, and ideally under $250–$350 per person per week.
If this sounds like your vibe, we’d love to chat, grab a coffee, or have a video call to see if we click
