**must allow dogs (x2) and have off-street parking - preferably somewhere with a yard!**
Hey potential future housemates!š
Iām currently looking for either a room in a share home or an affordable one-bedroom rental, and Iām hoping to find a place that feels calm yet playful, aligned, pet-friendly and community-minded.š š¶
For the past few months, Iāve been moving between the rental I shared with my ex-partner and my dadās couch during the work week, which unfortunately isnāt sustainable long-term, and Iām constantly finding myself burnt out and living beyond my capacity. Iām really ready to settle into a home that feels grounded, supportive, and nurturing
A little about me:
Iām Tess, Iām bubbly, nature-loving, and community-oriented. Iām house-proud, organised, and respectful, and I truly value living in a peaceful, supportive home where connection and communication matter. I love throwing a dinner party, having deep conversations, and creating/event planning is my jam!
I work in Advertising across Port Melbourne and Southbank (with one WFH day per week) and really value my time outside of work. Reducing my commute would mean more space to enjoy life, whether thatās deep conversations, board games, movie nights, arts and crafts, wellness activities, listening to music (soul and blues are my go-to), or getting outdoors for camping, hiking and time connecting to nature.š¬šÆš²šØš§¶š§š»āāļøš¶šļøāļøš³
What Iām looking for:
- A room in a friendly, community-minded share house (or a small, affordable 1 or 2-bedroom with off-street parking space and small yard).
- A yard for my 2 beautiful and friendly Staffies who I share part-time with my ex. They are very easy-going but have always grown up with a yard so no apartments please unless ground floor with a courtyard. They will give you so much love and cuddles and would be so happy to have some more aunties and uncles.š¶š¾ They are my absolute world and will always be a main priority for me.š„¹š„°
- Housemates who value kindness, open communication, bringing joy to the everyday and a relaxed, respectful environment.
- A generally chilled home during the work week, with some social connection when it feels right.
- Ideally a place thatās accessible for my dad when he visits, either wheelchair-friendly or with a safe rail for support (would be a dream but not essential)āæļø
Location:
- Open to South Eastern suburbs to be closer to work and family: Port Melbourne, South Melbourne, Albert Park, Richmond, South Yarra, Toorak, Prahran, Windsor, St Kilda, Elwood, and potentially Brighton, Elsternwick, Hampton, or Sandringham.
I would also be open to places further out if they gave this nature-loving girl a greater connection to Mother Earth!
Also also open to team-ups should you feel weād connect!š
If you feel I might be a good fit for your home, Iād love to connect. Or if you have any other ideas, please send them my way. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this š
