I am Sean, a friendly and easy-going guy from the US (Cleveland, Ohio), on my final Work & Holiday visa. I've been a nomad for almost a decade, spending roughly 5 years in Australia and 5 years in Southeast Asia. I just arrived to Melbourne and love it—want to stay for a while.
I'm clean and respectful, a non-smoker (but I don't mind if you are) and a social drinker who much prefers a good cocktail or a glass of nice wine/craft beer instead of getting drunk. I like to go out sometimes on the weekend, but I'm well past my party animal days. I like to read, go for walks, meditate, watch good series/stand-up comedy/political satire, listen to music, laugh, and have deep conversations about whatever topic piques our interest. I'm a bit of a foodie and coffee-addict, and I really enjoy live music. I love checking out hidden gem cafes, bars, restaurants, and venues, especially the funky and eclectic. ✨🎷☕️
I equally value social interaction at home as I do respecting each other's privacy. I love to wash dishes and help out. A happy household is key.
Work wise I've done a bit of everything: scuba dive instructing around Southeast Asia and Australia, bartending/catering/hospo, solar farm construction, grain sites, FIFO, and three vintages as a winery cellar hand—just came from one in Tassie! In Melbourne, I'll be working full time in construction, with some bartending and hospo gigs on the side. Or possibly vice versa. We'll see which one grabs me more. 🤗
I'm looking for a fully furnished private room in any type of shared accomodation. Ideally one with a cozy atmosphere and a bit of a vibe.
I don't mind something short-term, if it's immediate, to move out of the hostel I'm currently staying in (been there, done that, not my scene anymore). Ultimately, it's quite likely I'll stay here longterm—up to 9 months, the duration of my visa—so I'm looking for that too.
Hablo español de nivel intermedio, tambien. 🫶🏼
If you feel like I may be a good fit and addition to your home, send a message and we can take it from there! 😁☯️🙏🏼
Thanks so much!!!
