Monish Kumbhat

I’m an international student from India and I’m looking forward to finish my uni at the end of this year. Currently, I’m in India on break and planning on coming back to Melbourne on 12th June.

I’m 29, very down to earth and caring person, quite helpful too especially when it comes to a share house and public spaces in the household. I love to keep things as it is and make sure the place is clean and tidy - I am happy to abide by the household rules and make sure we’re on the same page, if I’m successful! I’m very open, honest, very transparent and very big on communication. I do not like conflicts so I tend to talk and sort it out as soon as I can. I’m very accountable and responsible as well!

I used to work part-time in hospitality 3-4 days a week in Southbank but I had quit the job before my break began. I have quite a bit of money saved up and I’m sure I’ll be able to get another job as soon as I’m back to Melbourne. I’ll be starting to apply for jobs before coming back, just to sort out everything before I arrive.

I would love to be good friends with my potential housemate and make sure to not disturb the equilibrium of the household. I love going out with my friends and party at times - I drink occasionally and I smoke weed sporadic ally as well (only with my friends at their place). I wouldn’t be smoking at home because I don’t like smoking alone, plus I don’t like bothering my potential housemates. I would like to potentially have some friends over the house at times but then again I would communicate that and make sure we’re all on the same page and being mindful about the household in general.

I love to cook, clean (I find it therapeutic hahaha, and I clean especially after I’m done with the kitchen), play sports (soccer, cricket, tennis, badminton, table tennis), love travelling and exploring new places in the city whenever I can.
