Hey There! 😀
I've recently driven all the way across the Nullarbor for the 3rd time from my hometown Perth, WA. I've been here in Melbourne since April/May staying with a friend in Carnegie and I've really liked Melbourne's lifestyle, so I'm planning to stay!
I spent Aug-Dec last year in Sydney, NSW and wanted to give Melbourne, VIC a go to compare the two and then decide which one I want to settle down in permanently. But now I've done that I'm looking for somewhere to settle down in.
I work freelance in the Film Industry as a Camera Assistant (the clapperboard 🎬 is part of my job) and I absolutely love it!
PREREQUISITES:
2.1m tall designated parking (garage or secure underground)
Own bathroom
No cats (allergic).
LOCATION: Open to others not listed, anywhere close to Melbourne is great
NOTES: I am flexible on moving in dates and can move in sooner/later if needed.
My film shoots take me out of the house for +8-12hrs at any time of the day or week. It's freelance so sometimes I'm busy for two weeks or a couple days and then have weeks off, other times I'm busy non-stop for 2 months. So it's a good ebb and flow of how much I'll be at home.
I am a social person so you'll definitely see me at home and I'd love if we can have a good chat about our day over a coffee, wine, shared home cooked meal or movie. I want my house to feel safe for everyone and to help each other.
My job has high pressure on arriving early, so I require my own bathroom so that I am not waiting on or inconveniencing others in the house.
Also part of my role is to transport and prepare camera equipment for each day in my work van. Being very expensive stuff I require secure parking so that it's safe overnight. Homes without any form of parking or on-street parking unfortunately aren't suitable.
I'm accustomed to people in the same house working different hours of the day so I'm heavily conscious of everyone having different sleep schedules, routines and lifestyles. Because of this I'm also very respectful for noise or people sometimes needing space.
In my free time I love going bouldering (indoor rock climbing) and going out to cosy cafes for catch ups with friends or just by myself. I love escape rooms and VR games, as well as lots of movie nights.
I also adore dogs so I'm totally accepting of one coming with the house - as long as I get to pat it! Sadly I get hayfever from cats so unfortunately avoiding any homes with one.
I'm looking for a home where everyone is respectful, well-mannered and makes sure everyone feels safe and comfortable in their own home.
I'm looking for housemates that I get along with and we can be friends. I take pride in having good manners so I will always be polite, say hello and ask how you're doing. Same for if friends, family or partners come over I will always make everyone feel welcome. Having roommates that reciprocate this respect and friendliness would be lovely.
I get along with lots of personalities so no specifics on room mates really. Just smiles, laughter and respect for us all 😊
ALSO open to Teaming Up to apply for rentals!
Triple vaccinated and non-smoker too! 😄
