Maia

I'm Maia, I'm 22 from London and am also half Danish. I am on my year abroad at Monash currently, studying Media and Communications and Film. Although I can take any classes I like as not technically part of my degree, so have been having fun with painting, printmaking, environmental history and hopefully glass blowing(!) next semester. Maybe I could spice up some communal areas.
I am communicative, mature and always clean up after myself.
I have been living in Melbourne since July and I absolutely love it, and have been in shared houses with musicians in Brunswick, and some other exchange students in Elwood so know Melbourne pretty well already. I am a real seize-the-day-er and when uni starts I am often out all day, but I am very sociable and keen to be friends with my housemates, and contribute to the house with good energy and cooking. I am eager to find a job at a cinema here, which I have done for a year back in London. (Hopefully I can get some free tickets or discounts for roomies too!). I enjoy reading, swimming, writing letters to my friends and family back home and wandering around cities. I am travelling with my sister and Mum until the end of February, so would preferably start renting then. I will be returning back home mid-July, so around a 5 month stay. I am looking for a furnished room, a sub-let would be great.
